Every day offers a fresh encounter with God and His inspired Word, the Bible. We love to test our memories with Bible Trivia and Bible Jeopardy. Sometimes, we have staff and student showdowns to bond as a group and help one another become familiar with Scripture.
Tamar Hela returned to ACS in January of 2009 after a year-long stint as Marketing Director for an insurance franchise. In 2007, she initially began as the assistant to Julie Brown, and taught Middle School electives, as well as the Elementary art program. Currently, she is the Bible teacher for Middle School and assists in coordinating chapels by mentoring a student worship team. Ms. Hela enjoys every aspect of teaching and is excited to see her students grow in their passion to know, understand and apply Biblical truths in every day life. As alumni of the school, she considers herself blessed to be teaching at the very school that gave her the tools to build a strong foundation in Christ. She holds degrees in Business and in Liberal Arts and is finishing another in Religious Studies. Ms. Hela also has a certification in Teaching English as a Second Language and has been tutoring/teaching English and a multitude of other subjects for the past seven years to a variety of ages. She is confident in the calling God has placed on her life to teach her students and thrives on seeing their hunger for the Word.
